(Saints) Martyrs (June 17) (2nd century) Martyrs in the South of Italy. They appear to have been officers in the Imperial army, or, as others say, high civil functionaries. The date of their death is also much disputed. Some put it as late as the reign of Diocletian (A.D. 300 or thereabouts). With the Bollandists we give A.D. 173 as the more likely year of their execution.
