(Saint) Bishop (June 22) (5th century) A holy Bishop mentioned by several ancient writers as presiding over the See of “Romatia,” a place unknown, but which is now supposed to be another name for Aquileia in Upper Italy, near the Adriatic. Saint Nicaeus is further thought to be the Nicaeus addressed to whom are Epistles from Saint Jerome and Saint Leo the Great, A.D. 458 is sometimes given as the year of his death.
