(Saint) Bishop (August 9) (6th century) Son of a chieftain in Connaught and disciple of Saint Finnian of Clonard. He founded a monastery at Achonry and was consecrated Bishop. He was famous for his austerity of life but much more for his loving kindness to the poor. He died at a great age about A.D. 600.
