(Saint) Martyr (August 15) (4th century) One of the victims of the persecution under Diocletian at the beginning of the fourth century. He appears to have been an Egyptian, and to have suffered at Alexandria. He was put to the torture, and so horribly maimed thereby that he expired while being carried back to his dungeon.
