(Saint) Virgin (February 23) (7th century) A sister of Saint Mildred of Thanet, she became Abbess of Wenlock in Shropshire. The old English historians attribute the working of many miracles to Saint Milburga. She is said to have survived till about A.D. 722. Her Abbey, destroyed by the Danes, afterwards passed into the possession of Cluniac monks.
