(Saint) Martyr (October 1) (5th century) A Saint venerated both in Catholic England, chiefly at Amcsbury, and in Brittany. He is said to have been the son of a chieftain in Cornwall and a convert to Christianity, done to death on that account early in the fifth century. But no source of authentic information is now available.
