Book of Saints – Martyrs of Antioch – 6 November

ANTIOCH (MARTYRS OF) (November 6) (7th century) Ten Christians put to death by the Arabs after their seizure of Antioch (A.D. 637). Some records put their number at forty or more. In such cases not all the Christians massacred are reputed as Martyrs, but only those previously distinguished for holiness of life, and those who, freedom being offered to them on condition of renouncing Christ, have elected to die for Him.
