Book of Saints – Majoricus


(Saint) Martyr (December 6) (5th century) The son of Saint Dionysia, who encouraged him to welcome his martyrdom and not to lose his wedding garment, which was his title of admission to the Heavenly Banquet. She embraced his corpse and buried him with thanksgiving in her own house. Both mother and son suffered martyrdom during the Arian persecution (about A.D. 490) in Africa, under Hunneric the Vandal.
