Book of Saints – Luke Kirby


(Blessed) Martyr (May 30) (16th century) Born in the North of England, he studied at Douai and in Rome. On his return to England as a priest he was subjected in the Tower to the horrible torture known as the “Scavenger’s daughter.” He was put to death at Tyburn, A.D. 1582.
