Book of Saints – Leobardus


(Saint) (January 18) (6th century) A recluse at Tours who forsook the world in his youth (A.D. 571 about) to shut himself up in a cell near the Abbey of Marmoutier, where he was joined by several devout brethren and where, on the advice of Saint Gregory of Tours, he persevered until his holy death (A.D. 593). Many miracles bore witness to his sanctity.
