Book of Saints – Juventius of Pavia

Article

(Saint) Bishop (February 8) (Date uncertain) The tradition is that Saint Hermagoras, Bishop of Aquileia, the disciple of Saint Mark the Evangelist, despatched Saints Syrus and Juventius to evangelise Pavia (Ticinum), of which city the latter became the first Bishop. Consequently, he flourished in the first or, at latest, early in the second century. The Roman Martyrology commemorates him a second time with Saint Syrus on September 8.
