Book of Saints – Justin – 1 November

Article

(Justus) (Saint) Martyr (November 1) (3rd century) A Christian child from Auxerre (France) who, journeying from Paris to Amiens with his father, fell in with the officials employed in the search for Christians. The little fellow stoutly refused to betray the direction in which his father had fled. The latter escaped, but little Justin was made to die in his place (about A.D. 288), at a spot some four leagues from Paris. The old account goes on to add that her little son’s head was returned to his mother at Auxerre.
