Book of Saints – John Storey


(Blessed) Martyr (June 1) (16th century) The Principal of an Oxford College and Vicar-General to the Bishop of London. On the accession of Elizabeth, he took refuge on the Continent and filled various important offices under the Spanish Crown. But burning with a thirst for martyrdom, he contrived to return to England, and was forthwith arrested and executed at Tyburn (A.D. 1553), dying for the Dogma of the Papal Primacy.
