Book of Saints – John of Saxony


(Saint) Bishop, Martyr (November 10) (11th century) A zealous missionary from Scotland to Germany, where he became Bishop of Ratzeburg, and evangelised the coasts of the Baltic. In the end the Pagans seized him and, after cutting off his hands and feet, beheaded him (A.D. 1066).
