Book of Saints – John of Saint Omer

(Saint) Bishop (January 27) (12th century) A saintly monk of French Flanders raised much against his will to the Episcopal See of Terouanne or Saint Omer. He was a man of most austere life, and though gentle and kindly in his dealings with others, effected great and salutary reforms in Church discipline. He died at a great age, A.D. 1130.
