(Blessed) Martyr (November 8) (16th century) A devout Catholic layman who ventured to affix the Bull of Pope Saint Pius V, excommunicating Queen Elizabeth to the gate of the Palace of the Bishop of London. He was hanged for having done so in Saint Paul’s Churchyard (A.D. 1570).
