Book of Saints – Isidore – 5 February

Article

(Saint) Martyr (February 5) (3rd century) The Saint Isidore, Martyr, commemorated on February 5, is now generally identified with the Martyr of the same name whose Feast is kept on May 15. He is variously known as “of Alexandria” (his birthplace), or “of Chios” (the place of his martyrdom). Hence the confusion in the Registers. He suffered under Decius, A.D. 250.
