Book of Saints – Isidore – 15 May

Article

(Saint) Martyr (May 15) (3rd century) An Egyptian soldier who, with his troop, crossed from Alexandria to the Island of Chios, and was there tortured and beheaded as a Christian under Decius (A.D. 250). The well into which his body was thrown is famed for miracles wrought by water drawn from it. This Saint Isidore is almost certainly one and the same with the Saint Isidore of February 5.
