[Saint Gladys and Saint Gundleus]Article

(Saint) (March 29) (6th century) A Welsh Prince, husband of Saint Gladys and father of the famous Saint Cadoc. In his old age he betook himself to a hermit’s cell where he passed some years in austere penance. On his deathbed (about A.D. 500) he was assisted by his son Saint Cadoc, and by the equally well-known Bishop Saint Dubritius, the predecessor of Saint David. A church at Newport is dedicated to Saint Gundleus under the name of Saint Woolloos.
