(Saint) Abbot (January 8) (7th century) A humble monk of Luxeuil, distinguished for his simple-mindedness, who at length coming to be appreciated by his contemporaries, succeeded in founding a monastery of his own near Troyes, to which his fame of sanctity attracted numerous disciples.
