Book of Saints – Fanchea


FANCHEA (GARBH) (Saint) Virgin (January 1) (6th century) Born in Clogher and sister of Saints Endeus, Lochina, Carecha and Dareima. She presided as Abbess over a flourishing community of holy women and was instrumental in converting her brother, Endeus, the celebrated Abbot of Arran, whom she led on to great sanctity.
