Book of Saints – Epaphroditus

EPAPHRODITUS (Saint) Bishop (March 22) (First century) The name occurs (Philippians 2:25) as that of an Apostle sent to the Philippians by Saint Paul. Hence, Saint Epaphroditus is reputed first Bishop of Philippi (Macedonia). Again, we have Epaphroditus, first Bishop of Andriacia (Lycia), and lastly Epaphroditus, sent as its first Bishop to Terracina in the south of Italy. All are of the Apostolic Age, and all are said to have been of the seventy-two disciples chosen by Christ (Luke 10:1). There are no data for elucidating the problems involved.
