Book of Saints – Eoban


EOBAN (Saint) Martyr (June 5) (8th century) A fellow-labourer in Germany with Saint Boniface and a sharer in his martyrdom (A.D. 754). He is claimed as of Irish descent. and is also asserted to have been consecrated Assistant Bishop of Utrecht, where his remains were venerated until enshrined at Erfurth, the scene of many miracles worked by his intercession.
