ELPIDIUS, MARCELLUS, EUSTOCHIUS and OTHERS (Saints) Martyrs (November 16) (4th century) Elpidius, a dignitary at the Court of the Emperor Constantius, degraded by Julian the Apostate, having generously confessed the Faith in the presence of the latter, is said to have been, with his companions, fastened to wild horses and in the end to have perished at the stake, A.D. 362.
