Book of Saints – Eadnothus

EADNOTHUS (ESNEU) (Saint) Bishop, Martyr (October 19) (11th century) A Saint difficult to trace. Migne’s Dictionary (where the name is spelled Eadnochus) says that he was a Bishop and Martyr in England, honoured at York. Baring-Gould puts on October 19: “Eadnoth, Bishop and Martyr, at Dorchester, A.D. 1016.”
