Book of Saints – Cannera

CANNERA (CAINDER, KINNERA) (January 28) (Saint) Virgin (6th century) From her earliest years, Saint Cannera dedicated her virginity to God, and lived in solitude near Bantry. Receiving a supernatural revelation of Saint Senan’s sanctity, she sought him out, and having received Holy Communion at his hands, placidly passed to a better life about A.D. 530. She was buried on Saint Senan’s island of Inniscarthy.
