Book of Saints – Candida the Younger

CANDIDA THE YOUNGER (Saint) (September 4) (6th century) A holy woman of Naples who sacrificed herself persistingly in labouring to ensure the corporal and spiritual well-being of her husband and son, and whose sanctity Almighty God bore witness to by the many miracles wrought at her tomb, from which oil flows that imparts health to the sick. A.D. 586 appears to have been the date of her death.
