Book of Saints – Calocerus – 11 February

CALOCERUS (Saint) Bishop (February 11) (2nd century) A disciple, as some assert, of Saint James the Greater, the Apostle, and probably a Greek by birth. He attached himself to Saint Apollinaris, first Bishop of Ravenna. Having efficiently aided the latter for many years in the administration of his Diocese, he became his successor. He died at an advanced age, about A.D. 130, under the Emperor Hadrian.
