Book of Saints – Caius of Milan


CAIUS of MILAN (Saint) Bishop (September 27) (1st century) A disciple of Saint Barnabas the Apostle, who governed the Church of Milan for twenty-four years, and was distinguished for his zeal and piety. He baptised the Martyr Saint Vitalis with his sons Saints Gervase and Protase. He passed away, probably A.D. 85. Saint Charles Borromeo enshrined his relics in the Church of Saint Francis at Milan (A.D. 1571).
