Book of Saints – Britwin


BRITWIN (BERCTHUN ?) (Saint) Abbot (May 15) (8th century) The holy Abbot, friend of Saint John of Beverley, who assisted that Saint in his last moments and enshrined his remains. He lived in the eighth century, and is commemorated by Venerable Bede and registered as a Saint in old English Calendars.
