Book of Saints – Brannock

BRANNOCK (Saint) Abbot (January 7) (6th century) A Saint who appears to have migrated in the sixth century from South Wales into Devon, and to have founded a monastery at Braunton, near Barnstaple, in that county. The traditions concerning him are, however, very varying and unreliable, though possibly the place named Braunton perpetuates his memory. But see Saint Brychan (April 7).
