Book of Saints – Bosa


BOSA (Saint) Bishop (March 9) (8th century) A monk of Saint Hilda’s Abbey at Whitby, and the predecessor of Saint John of Beverley in the Archbishopric of York, to which he was called in the troubled times of the exile of Saint Wilfrid, by Saint Theodore of Canterbury. Saint Bosa was a man, says the Venerable Bede, of conspicuous virtue and humility. He died A.D. 705.
