Book of Saints – Blitarius


BLITARIUS (BLIER) (Saint) (June 11) (7th century) A native of Scotland who passed over into France with Saint Fursey, and settled at Seganne in Champagne. He is still in great local veneration, and is described as having been a man whose whole life was spent in penance and prayer. His relics were burned by the Calvinists in the sixteenth century.
