ARMAGILLUS (ARMEL, ERMEL, ERME) (Saint) Confessor (August 16) (6th century) A Briton, related to Saint Paul de Leon. A Cornish church is dedicated to Saint Armel. His sphere of work was chiefly, however, in Brittany, where Plou-Ermel perpetuates his holy memory. A.D. 562 is given as the date of his death.
