Book of Saints – Ansovinus


ANSOVINUS (ANSEWIN) (Saint) Bishop (March 13) (9th century) Born at Camerino in Umbria (Central Italy), first a canon, and later Bishop of his native city, he acquired a great and widespread reputation for holiness of life and for personal zeal. He died A.D. 816, and was forthwith honoured as a Saint by his sorrowing flock.
