ANANIAS (Saint) Martyr (January 25) (1st century) The disciple at Damascus who baptized Saint Paul (Acts 9), and who, tradition tells us, afterwards became a zealous propagator of the Christian Faith, for which in the end he was arrested, scourged, put to the torture, and at last stoned to death.
